This unit is located in the space above the Store cupboard. It moves the air continuously around your apartment and should not be switched off.

For it to operate the fused switch on the wall has to be on.  Do not get this switch confused with the Hot Water switch.  If it has been switched off, then all the settings will have to be checked. 

It takes all the stale air from inside your apartment, via circular extractor vents in the ceilings of all rooms, and replaces it, via an air brick, with fresh air. This avoids the need for opening your windows which can let in noise and fumes.

Also, as the stale air is extracted a heat exchanger within the unit provides energy-free heating or energy-free cooling to the supply air entering the bedrooms and lounge, dependent on the indoor and outdoor temperatures. 

It prevents the build-up of moisture in the apartment and removes steam, condensation and odours from bathing and cooking and prevents black mould from forming on walls, cupboards etc.
