Door Chime

Friedland apartment door chime

The bell push located outside your front door requires a CR2032 coin cell battery. Two ‘beep’ sounds from your chime indicates your bell push needs a new battery. To replace the battery, insert a flat bladed screwdriver into the slot A at the base of the push and carefully lever the cover off.

The door chime located in your hallway requires three LR6 ‘AA’ alkaline batteries.

When an amber light flashes on the door chime it means the batteries need changing. To replace the batteries, lift the door chime upwards from its cradle, then press at point B and slide the cover back and remove it. Insert the three batteries observing the polarity as marked inside the compartment and replace the cover.

The door chime enables you to select the chime sound that you want to hear when the bell push is activated. It also enables you to control the volume of that chime.

To access these controls, release the catch C that is on the underside of the front sliding window and slide the window off completely.

On the top of the door chime is two buttons marked & . To hear the different sounds of the chime without pressing the bell push, press the button and you will hear one of the sounds. Press the button again and you will hear the next one, keep pressing until you’ve heard all of them.

Decide on the chime you want (pick one that will not get confused with door bells on TV programmes).

To link the chime with the bell push, press the bell push and while the house symbol is flashing press the button. Keep pressing the button until it plays the chime you want.

The volume control is behind the sliding window on the front of the chime. Twisting it clockwise increases the volume. Make sure you can hear the chime from the kitchen above the TV or Radio.
