Underfloor Heating
The underfloor heating in your Lounge & Kitchen (Zone 1) and your Bedrooms (Zone 2) is controlled under two sections: -
•A Time switch that controls the times of operation of the room Thermostats.
•A room Thermostat that controls the temperature of the room.
Hints & Tips
For the underfloor heating to work effectively, heavy rugs, large bean bags or mattresses should not be laid in direct contact with the floor.
Large items of furniture should ideally be raised 15mm above the floor, raised coasters help.
Neither should large heavy items be placed directly on the floor especially under a bed.
Avoid using rubber or foam backed carpets. This restricts the heated air to flow around the room and take longer for the thermostat to sense the temperature leading to longer periods of heating and wasted energy.
The thermostats must not be covered by curtains or blocked by large items of furniture.
